Job summary

Vodafone Portugal is seeking a senior cloud infrastructure engineer to deliver and evolve telco cloud platforms across Europe. You will design, implement, and optimize Red Hat/OpenShift and VMware-based solutions, and work with onboarding teams to automate VNF/CNF delivery.

You’ll collaborate across multi-functional teams, ensuring secure, scalable infrastructure, virtualization, and network integration, with a strong focus on automation (Ansible, GitLab) and scripting.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
At least 5 years in cloud and virtualization telco workloads.
Strong knowledge of Red Hat, VMware, Kubernetes and virtualization.
Experience with OpenShift, Telco Cloud, vSphere and NSX-T.
Fluent in English and Portuguese.

Responsibilities

Delivery lifecycle management of assigned solutions within Europe.
Coordinating suppliers, engage with peers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
Develop the onboarding process and automation of VNF & CNF delivery.
Work within the allocated budget and timelines of delivery.
Define, address, track and report on standard and guideline adherence.
Translate technical requirements into business language.
