A reputable construction company in Braga, Portugal is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$ per month and accommodation provided.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine materials needed and dimensions required for projects
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil, chalk or marking gauge
• Cut and shape materials according to measurements using hand tools, power tools or machines
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trimmings and hardware
• Repair or replace damaged framework or other wooden structures
• Inspect wooden structures to determine repairs needed
• Operate hand tools such as saws, chisels, planes, drills and sanders
• Maintain tools in good condition

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of materials used in carpentry such as wood types and grades
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to accurately measure and cut materials according to specifications
