BrandConnect Media in Braga is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our construction team. You will build, install and repair wood structures using wood, plywood and wallboard, reporting to the site supervisor.

The role requires reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, assembling and fitting fixtures. Candidates should have at least 2 years in carpentry, familiarity with woodworking machines, good stamina and attention to detail.

We are a reputable construction company located in Braga seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter you will be responsible for constructing, installing and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood and wallboard. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$ per month.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints drawings and sketches to determine specifications and materials needed
• Measuring and marking cutting lines on materials according to the design plans
• Cutting, shaping and smoothing materials using saws, chisels, planes, sanders and other hand-power tools
• Assembling prepared wood components into finished structures or fixtures
• Installing structures such as windows, frames, floorings and trim using hand or power tools
• Repairing damaged or worn structures by replacing defective parts or reinforcing existing ones
• Inspecting work pieces for defects and ensuring that they meet project specifications

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry
• Proficient knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with woodworking machines
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
• Attention to detail
• Basic math skills

Working Conditions: This position is suitable for individuals without accommodation. We welcome students who are looking for part-time work opportunities. You will be required to work 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
