JPM Industry in Vale de Cambra, Portugal is seeking a Procurement Specialist to analyse purchasing needs with Engineering and Production teams, identify suppliers, and negotiate terms. You will issue and follow up purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and help optimise costs.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience, a CET or higher qualification, fluent English, and basic knowledge of Excel.

Qualificações

• 12th grade, CET (Technological Specialisation Course), or higher education qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience (mandatory).

Responsabilidades

• Analyse purchasing needs and specs with Engineering and Production teams.
• Identify, contact, and select suitable suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, delivery times, and terms for best cost-benefit.
• Issue and follow up purchase orders until receipt.
• Mitigate supply risks affecting projects or production.
• Maintain operational follow-up with suppliers and JPM needs.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements.
• Support cost optimisation and purchasing process efficiency.
• Coordinate with different company areas to resolve material supply issues.

Main Responsabilities

• Analyse purchasing needs and technical specifications in coordination with the Engineering and Production teams
• Identify, contact, and select suitable suppliers according to the organisation’s needs
• Negotiate prices, delivery times, and commercial terms, ensuring the best costbenefit ratio
• Ensure the issuing and follow-up of purchase orders until receipt
• Anticipate and mitigate supply risks that may compromise project execution or production continuity
• Ensure the operational follow-up of suppliers, maintaining effective communication and an appropriate response to JPM’s needs
• Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, promoting improvement actions whenever necessary
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at cost optimisation, service level improvement, and purchasing process efficiency
• Collaborate with differente areas of the company to resolve issues related to the supply of materials and services

Education And Experience

• 12th grade, CET (Technological Specialisation Course), or higher education qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience (mandatory)

Additional Knowledge

• English
• Knowledge of PHC (optional) and Excel
• Knowledge of negotiation and stock management
