Job summary

Sovos is hiring a Business Analyst to own the delivery of pre-built dashboards, customizable reports, and real-time compliance insights across jurisdictions. You will translate complex tax data into clear visuals, working with AI specialists to scale analytics for global implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with embedded analytics platforms and BI tool configuration.
• Proficient in designing charts and dashboards with KPI frameworks.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and relational database knowledge.
• Understanding of VAT/GST, SAF-T and KPIs in tax contexts.

The Role

At Sovos, we're building the future of tax compliance intelligence, and this Business Analyst role sits at the heart of that vision. You'll own the delivery of pre-built dashboards, customisable reports, and real-time compliance health insights that help tax professionals around the world make better decisions faster. Working alongside technical and AI specialists, you'll translate complex tax data into clear, actionable visualisations that scale across jurisdictions and customer implementations.

More specifically, you will:

• Design and configure pre-built KPI dashboards for compliance monitoring, reconciliation trends, and data quality metrics, creating visualisations that translate complex tax compliance data into actionable insights for tax analysts.
• Build and maintain dashboard templates and customisable chart configurations for standard compliance use cases, including VAT reconciliation health, SAF-T validation status, and compliance network transaction monitoring.
• Configure embedded analytics components using platform BI capabilities, surfacing insights within Intelligence's native interface and enabling seamless integration through APIs.
• Enable Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Analytics-as-a-Service (AaaS) capabilities for partners by designing white-label dashboard environments, creating partner-facing BI configuration patterns, and supporting onboarding for Big4 and system integrator partners.
• Configure semantic layer (CDM) definitions to support new data sources and jurisdictions, mapping source structures to the Intelligence physical data model and designing reconciliation report definitions.
• Partner with the development team on embedded BI tool integration, establishing BI configuration governance and best practices that allow customisation without code changes.
• Leverage AI tools to surface pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and predictive insights within dashboards and reporting workflows.

What You Bring to Sovos

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• You've built solid experience with embedded analytics platforms and BI tool configuration, including dashboard design principles, data visualisation best practices, and KPI frameworks.
• You're proficient in designing charts, graphs, and visual representations of complex datasets, with a strong understanding of relational database structures, SQL query design, and data modelling principles.
• You have experience with BI tool APIs, integration patterns for embedded analytics, and semantic layer concepts for data abstraction.
• You understand indirect tax compliance processes (VAT/GST, SAF-T reporting) and relevant KPIs, or you're eager to develop this domain knowledge quickly.
• You're comfortable working across product development, professional services, partners, and sales teams, with knowledge of API-based integrations and PaaS/AaaS delivery models.
• You're fluent in written and spoken English; additional European languages are an advantage. Comfort with AI-assisted workflows and tools is a strong plus.
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
