Accenture in Lisbon seeks a Business Analyst for a hybrid role, supporting Finance Implementation Projects within a global bank environment. You will coordinate functional solutions and interfaces between business and finance systems, and report on project progress.

Required: at least 3 years in accounting or banking, knowledge of banking products and financial information systems, and solid MS Excel skills (intermediate). English and Portuguese (B1/B2) are expected.

Responsabilidades

• Manage daily activities within Finance Implementation Projects (FIP) for a global financial institution.
• Coordinate functional solutions and interfaces between business and finance systems; liaise with reporting streams (financial accounting, management accounting, liquidity, credit risk).
• Work with FIP project managers across project phases; respect methodology and milestones; monitor budget; propose workaround solutions.
• Define operational and accounting schemes; design data flows to feed finance systems; document functional specifications for IT/engineering teams.
• Coordinate tasks across stakeholders to ensure time-to-market; update project status; participate in project committees; support post-implementation reporting.

Business Analyst

What are we looking for: Accounting & Banking previous experience - (Minimum 3 years)

What would you do:

• Your mission consists to ensure the usual projects activity within local Finance Implementation Projects FIP department, within a worldwide Financial Institution Bank.
• Handles the functional solutions of financial interfaces between the operating systems of business and the finance systems, collaborating with the main reporting streams (financial accounting, management accounting, liquidity, and credit risk).

Roles and Responsibilities

• 1st - Project Management:
  • Work in daily cooperation with the FIP project managers in the diAerent phases of project;
  • Respect the methodology of project management shared by the central FIP;
  • Respect the projects milestones and the related budget;
  • Contribute to the definition of a workaround solution with the project team face to any issue impacting the critical path of the project and its budget;
  • Produce regular project status to share with FIP project manager and FIP team leader;
  • Participate to project committees by sharing actions/decisions status under FIP responsibility, taking or coordinating actions linked to the central FIP.
• 2nd - Functional & Project implementation:
  • Define the operational and accounting schemes and the framework of controls based on the first global need expressed by FIP project manager in context of a pre study.
  • Define the structure of data flows with the necessary information to feed finance systems
  • Document the functional specifications of the solution to be set up by other teams such as operating systems IT, Financial IT systems, FIP Engineering for parametrization in the accounting interpreter;
  • Coordinate the tasks and actions from the different stakeholders by ensuring the time to market of the delivery;
  • Set up evolution of chart of accounts if necessary for the solution adopted;
  • Contribute to the testing strategy to ensure the quality of the implementation of the project;
  • Carry out all accounting and reporting test phases under direct responsibility of FIP;
  • Ensure an aftercare support for reporting users.
