Job summary

MapleGroves in Porto, Portugal, is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality of biometric passport technology. You will create and execute test plans, run manual and automated tests with tools like Selenium and JMeter, and document bugs with clear reproduction steps.

You will collaborate with developers and product managers to refine requirements, contribute to SDLC and agile processes, and help improve testing workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of software testing or QA experience.
• Experience with manual and automated testing tools (Selenium, JMeter).
• Familiarity with SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for new and existing features
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify bugs and issues
• Report bugs in a clear and concise manner, including steps to reproduce
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
• Continuously improve testing processes and procedures to increase efficiency
• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential quality risks
