King’s College School, Cascais seeks a dynamic, visionary and highly qualified Head of Science and Biology Teacher to lead its expanding science department. The post-holder will divide their time between strategic departmental leadership and classroom teaching.

As Head of Science, the post-holder will provide academic direction across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, mentor subject specialists and manage laboratory facilities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science in Biology or a closely related field.
• Recognised formal teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Proven track record of teaching secondary Biology, ideally with leadership experience in international or Cambridge curriculum school.

• Oversee science curriculum progression aligned with Cambridge standards.

As Head of Science, the post-holder will provide academic direction across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, mentor subject specialists and manage laboratory facilities. As a Biology Teacher, the role involves inspiring students from Years 7 to 13, preparing them for examination success and university admissions through critical thinking and scientific problem-solving.

• Strong subject knowledge, dynamic leadership and fluent English communication.
