agap2IT, founded in Lisbon, seeks an experienced Backup Expert to manage and optimize storage and backup environments across AIX, Linux, and VMware platforms. The role emphasizes designing secure recovery strategies and automating operations through scripting.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in computer engineering or information systems, with hands-on expertise in Storage Protect, TSM DB2, and scripting in Shell/Python, plus SQL for reporting.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Previous professional experience as a Backup Expert or in similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of Storage Protect on AIX and Linux environments.
• Expertise in TSM DB2 administration and management.
• Experience with Storage Protect for VE integrated with VMware.
• Solid understanding of S3 protocols and NDMP.
• Strong skills in Shell scripting for automation and operational tasks.
• Knowledge of Python for scripting and integration.
• Experience with SQL for database queries and reporting.
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain secure and efficient backup and recovery strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications in backup technologies are a plus.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices is valued.
• Good command of English; French language skills are a plus.
