Claranet is hiring a Junior Backups Technician to join our team in Lisbon or Porto. You will monitor backup jobs, perform restores, and support Windows Server environments, with a focus on reliability and security.

You should have a technical degree and hands-on experience with Veeam or Commvault, plus basic networking knowledge. Knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and data immutability concepts is a plus.

Qualificações

• Technical course or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
• Experience with Veeam or Commvault (academic projects or internships acceptable).
• Basic knowledge of Windows and administration.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (IP, subnets, routing).
• Certifications in Commvault and Veeam valued.
• Knowledge of virtualization environments (VMware or Hyper‑V).
• Understanding of data immutability concepts and ransomware protection.

Responsabilidades

• Daily monitoring of backup jobs and resolution of failures on Veeam Backup & Replication and Commvault Command Center platforms.
• Execution of restore requests (files, databases, and VMs), ensuring recovery SLAs are met.
• Basic administration of Windows Server and environments (agent installation, permissions management, and service administration).
• Troubleshooting communication issues (TCP/IP, DNS, ports) between backup servers and clients.
• Supporting software updates and storage capacity management.
• Maintaining backup inventories and compliance reports.

Your responsibilities include:

Backup Management:

Daily monitoring of backup jobs and resolution of failures on Veeam Backup & Replication and Commvault Command Center platforms.

Data Recovery:

Execution of restore requests (files, databases, and VMs), ensuring recovery SLAs are met.

Systems Support:

Basic administration of Windows Server and environments (agent installation, permissions management, and service administration).

Networking & Connectivity:

Troubleshooting communication issues (TCP/IP, DNS, ports) between backup servers and clients.

Maintenance:

Supporting software updates and storage capacity management.

Documentation:

Maintaining backup inventories and compliance reports.

You must have:
