ITDS in Lisbon is seeking a Senior NAS Storage and Backup Systems Administrator to optimize enterprise storage, ensure high availability, and drive efficiency for enterprise clients.

You will manage NAS, SAN, and backup architectures with NetApp, Dell PowerScale/Isilon, and Hitachi, develop automation with Bash, Python, and Ansible, and collaborate across IT teams to deliver resilient storage solutions.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of enterprise storage administration or SAN management.
• Strong expertise in NetApp, Hitachi, Dell PowerScale/Isilon and SMB storage.
• Hands-on with NAS, NFS, SMB, DFS and Windows Active Directory.
• Advanced knowledge of NFS, iSCSI and NVMe protocols.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python and Ansible.
• Excellent troubleshooting for complex SAN environments and strong English.

As a Senior NAS Storage and Backup Systems Administrator

you will be working for our client, a major player in the data storage industry. You will help optimize and manage critical storage solutions, ensuring high availability and performance for enterprise clients. Your main responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage NAS and SMB storage systems, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Provide expert support for NetApp, Dell PowerScale / Isilon, and Hitachi storage solutions.
• Engage in SAN provisioning, backup strategy, and disaster recovery planning.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, Ansible, and KSH to streamline storage operations.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure teams, including backup, network, security, and Windows Active Directory teams.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to NFS, iSCSI, NVMe, and SMB/Windows shares.
• Maintain documentation and provide training to team members and end-users.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise storage administration or SAN management.
• Strong technical expertise in NetApp, Hitachi, Dell PowerScale / Isilon, and SMB storage solutions.
• Hands-on experience with NAS, NFS, SMB, DFS, and Windows Active Directory.
• Advanced knowledge of protocols: NFS, ISCSI, NVMe.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, and Ansible.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex SAN environments.
• Strong communication skills in English (B2-C1 level).

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Experience with IBM GPFS and IBM Power Systems (AIX/Linux on Power).
• Knowledge of VMware virtualization and virtualized server environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident and change management.
