Job summary

Vestas is seeking an experienced Tech Lead to guide a team of software engineers within the DevEx department. You will build reliable back-end services using Python and .NET, and help accelerate development time while improving developer experience.

The role blends hands-on development with technical leadership, planning responsibilities, and long-term system evolution in a hybrid Porto-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and modern frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience with web applications, REST APIs, and backend services.

You will be part of the DevEx department; our purpose is to let module developers focus on developmentby providing services, applications, and automation to delivery teams. Our mission is to accelerate development time and enhance developer experience. We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead to guide a team of software engineers building reliable, scalable applications and backend services using Python and .NET. In this role, you will combine practical development, technical leadership, and planning responsibility, playing a key part in both delivery execution and the long‑term evolution of our systems and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions using Python
• Build and enhance APIs, backend services, and microservice-based applications
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions

Qualifications

• Knowledge of software design principles, testing frameworks, and CI/CD practices
• Experience with Graph DB (e.g., Neo4j) or other database technologies
• Familiarity with building modern web applications, APIs, and frontend-backend integrations
• Effective problem-solving capabilities and clear communication skills
• Familiarity with .NET technologies
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Comfortable working in an environment with shifting priorities
