Job summary

TeamViewer seeks a Backend Software Engineer to design, build and operate backend services powering our digital workplace platform. You will work in an agile cross‑functional team, delivering secure, scalable systems with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot or Node.js/TypeScript.

You will model data for SQL and NoSQL stores, apply event‑driven designs, contribute to CI/CD, and use AI coding tools while upholding quality, security and observability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend software development experience.
• Experience with Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot, or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka, NATS or RabbitMQ.
• Hands-on experience with Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
• Experience working in agile teams.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
