Bosch Service Solutions S.A. in Portugal seeks a Backend Developer – Python / Django to design and implement robust backend systems and APIs.

You will work with Django 5+ and REST Framework, build CI/CD pipelines with Docker Compose, and help secure applications while aligning with Bosch's engineering and security standards. English fluency required; on-site collaboration in Aveiro preferred.

• University degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Strong backend experience with Python and relational databases.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, CI/CD, containers, and cloud hosting.

• Implement, maintain and refactor secure APIs, transitioning endpoints to Django REST Framework.

• Secure applications by automated vulnerability scanning and secret management in build.
• Conduct high-quality code reviews and collaborate with frontend teams.
• Monitor and optimize backend performance aligned with Bosch guidelines.

Your contribution to something big:

• Design and implement robust backend systemsusing Python 3.10+ and Django 5+, extending and optimizing database models
• Implement, maintain and refactor secure APIs, actively transitioning existing endpoints into Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Architect and automate CI/CD pipelinesusing Docker Compose and internal cloud/VM infrastructures to ensure continuous integration and deployment.
• Secure our applicationsby creating automated vulnerability scanning pipelines and integrating secret managers into the build process.
• Conduct high-quality code reviews, run integration testing with frontend developers.
• Monitor and optimizebackend performance, ensuring compliance with Bosch's global software engineering and security guidelines.

What distinguishes you:

Education: University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Solid professional experience in backend software development with a strong focus on Python and relational databases.
• Demonstrated experience building, refactoring, and maintaining RESTful APIs in production environments.
• Practical experience setting up and operating CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and cloud hosting platforms.

Know how:

• Strong expertise in Python 3.10+ and Django 5+.
• Deep understanding of Django ORM, SQL database design (ideally PostgreSQL), and Django REST Framework.
• DevOps & Infrastructure:Solid knowledge of CI/CD concepts, Git workflow, Docker/Docker Compose, and cloud-native application hosting.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, database modeling practices, cloud platforms (e.g., Cloud Foundry), and automated vulnerability scanning tools.

Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken)
