Job summary

Vodafone is seeking a motivated Backend Software Engineer to join its Digital Experience Layer (DxL) team in Lisbon. You will design, develop, test, and maintain backend services powering digital channels and customer-facing apps, collaborating with engineers, architects, product teams, and QA to build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

You will implement RESTful APIs with Java and Spring Boot, contribute to microservices, and help drive CI/CD pipelines while adhering to agile

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Understanding of REST APIs and backend development.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture principles.
• Experience with Git and Maven.
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding of unit and integration testing (e.g. JUnit, Mockito).
• Understanding of Clean Code principles and software design fundamentals.
