The role requires reliability, patience, and strong English communication, with CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it. Prior childcare experience is preferred and safety is the top priority.

Babysitter in Funchal, Madeira

We are seeking a responsible and caring Babysitter to join our family in Funchal, Madeira. As a Babysitter, you will be responsible for the well‑being and safety of children ranging from infants to pre‑teens. This is a great opportunity for students looking for part‑time work with accommodation.

Responsibilities:

• Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for the children
• Prepare meals and snacks according to the children's dietary needs
• Engage in age‑appropriate activities such as games, crafts and outdoor play
• Ensure the children's personal hygiene needs are met, including changing diapers and assisting with potty training
• Follow the parents' instructions and routines for naps, bedtime, etc.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's day and any concerns that may arise

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Babysitter or in a childcare setting is preferred
• Must be reliable, patient and have a genuine love for children
• Ability to multitask and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
• Strong communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)
• Must have valid CPR/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain one

Salary:

• Competitive salary of 1100$ per month.
• Accommodation will also be provided.
