Overview

We are in need of a responsible and experienced babysitter to care for our children on a full‑time basis in Funchal, Portugal. As a babysitter, you will create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for our children, feeding, bathing, dressing and supervising them, as well as engaging them in educational and fun activities.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and nurturing environment for the children
• Prepare and serve meals according to the provided guidelines
• Assist with bathing, dressing and other personal care tasks
• Engage children with educational and fun activities such as reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and more
• Ensure the children's safety at all times
• Follow the family's rules and routines for the children
• Keep the play area clean and organized
• Communicate effectively with parents about the children's daily activities

Requirements

• Proven experience as a babysitter or nanny
• Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain one
• Excellent communication skills in Portuguese (English proficiency is a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children
• Strong understanding of child development stages and appropriate activities for each age group
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Good time‑management skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
