Job summary

KWAN is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Microsoft Azure to join our Lisbon team in a hybrid model (2 days in the office). You will help build a reliable cloud platform, automate deployments and improve scalability.

In collaboration with international teams, you will implement IaC with Terraform, optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git, and handle incident response with Datadog and Azure Monitor.

Qualifications

• 4 to 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (Storage, Data Factory/Synapse, SQL Database, Azure ML, Cost Management)
• Expert knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Boards, Repos) and Git
• Experience supporting Azure data services such as Databricks, Data Factory, Event Hubs, Cosmos DB or PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and incident management tools such as Datadog or Azure Monitor
• Advanced scripting skills in Python or Bash/Shell
• Linux and Windows Server administration experience
• Knowledge of AD, networking protocols and security principles
• Excellent English communication skills to work with international teams
• Nice to have: exposure to Azure AI services such as Azure AI Foundry or Cognitive Services

Responsibilities

• Join a cloud platform team building the next generation of automation, self-service and platform engineering capabilities.
• Improve the reliability, performance and security of cloud and data-platform workloads through automation and SRE practices.
• Design, deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure with Terraform, making deployments faster, more secure and repeatable.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and Git.
• Handle advanced incident resolution (L2/L3) using monitoring tools such as Datadog and Azure Monitor.
• Fully automate complex recurring requests, from cloud account setup to service principals and certificate renewals.
