Quion Groep B.V. in Porto (Matosinhos) seeks an experienced SQL Server DBA to design, manage and evolve our SQL Server and Azure SQL infrastructure. You will ensure performance, security and scalability, and lead cloud migrations with automation and governance.

You will collaborate with database suppliers, support data governance and implement robust disaster recovery, monitoring and cost optimization strategies, while mentoring teammates on best practices and SQL optimizations.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field required.
• 5+ years of SQL Server DBA experience in complex IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure SQL, Azure networking, security and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, PowerShell and DevOps tooling.
• Experience migrating SQL Server environments to Azure.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain scalable, secure and highly available database platforms.
• Lead cloud database initiatives, including Azure SQL and managed database services.
• Implement disaster recovery, monitoring and cost optimization strategies.
• Automate database deployment and management using infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Ensure database security through encryption, auditing and access controls.
• Support data governance, compliance and security remediation activities.
• Provide technical ownership of database platforms and standards.
• Review database designs and SQL code to ensure quality and performance.
• Coach colleagues and share knowledge on database technologies and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement of database architecture, operations and reliability.
