Job summary

Hexa Consulting in Portugal seeks an Azure Cloud Architect to drive design, assessment and continuous improvement of cloud solutions within the technology services practice. The role emphasizes Azure architecture, infrastructure modernization, scalability, governance and operational efficiency.

You will work on cost optimization, apply Well-Architected Framework principles and promote governance across subscriptions and tagging.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft Azure, including hands-on infrastructure.
• Experience assessing Azure environments and proposing architecture improvements.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing Azure environments and identify opportunities to improve architecture, performance, scalability, security and operational efficiency.
• Design and document Azure cloud architectures covering infrastructure, networking, storage, compute, databases, PaaS services and containerized workloads.
• Recommend architecture improvements aligned with business requirements, technical constraints and cloud best practices.
• Support cloud modernization initiatives, including infrastructure consolidation, service optimization and migration from IaaS to PaaS where appropriate.
• Apply Azure Well-Architected Framework principles to improve reliability, security, performance efficiency, operational excellence and cost optimization.
• Define and promote cloud governance practices using Azure Policy, subscription organization, management groups and resource tagging.
• Evaluate architectural decisions considering technical feasibility, implementation complexity, operational risks and financial efficiency.
• Contribute to infrastructure standardization and automation initiatives to improve consistency and maintainability.

At Hexa, we are looking for an Azure Cloud Architect to contribute to the design, assessment and continuous improvement of cloud solutions within the technology services sector. The role focuses on Azure architecture, infrastructure modernization, scalability, governance and operational efficiency, with cloud cost optimization as a complementary responsibility.

What you will do

What we are looking for

• Experience assessing Azure environments and proposing architecture improvements across different cloud services.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, availability and scalability principles.
• Ability to independently analyze technical requirements, evaluate alternatives and recommend appropriate cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud governance, resource management and operational best practices.
• Understanding of how architecture decisions influence cloud resource consumption and operational costs.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
