Job summary

Hikma Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Supervisor, Quality Assurance (m/f) to join the team on-site in Portugal. The role focuses on leading the QA field production team, reviewing deviations, and ensuring adherence to SOPs while training QA technicians and overseeing quality-related activities across manufacturing operations.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field, at least 3 years in pharma QA, knowledge of current GMP and regulatory requirements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field.
• 3+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, with QA experience.
• Knowledge of cGMPs, FDA requirements and other regulatory rules.
• Able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work under pressure.
• Assertive, flexible and detail‑oriented.
• Fluent in English and good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the QA field production team.
• Review and approve deviations, internal procedures and other Quality documentation.
• Ensure QA staff adherence to applicable SOPs.
• Train QA technicians.
• Ensure proper qualification of particles and defect collections, and of packaging and QA inspectors.
• Oversee production operations and evaluate manufacturing issues impacting product quality.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions related to deviations.
• Approve Quality Circles from other departments.
• Approve maintenance requisitions and Preventive Maintenance activities.
• Monitor and maintain Quality KPIs and other key metrics.

Today, in Portugal, we have more than 1000 employees and 3 factories for the production of injectable medicines.

Hikma intends to recruit an Associate Supervisor, Quality Assurance (m/f) to integrate the Hikma 4 – Quality Assurance, working on-site.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the QA field production team.
• Review and approve deviations, internal procedures and other Quality documentation.
• Ensure QA staff adherence to and compliance with applicable SOPs.
• Train QA technicians.
• Ensure proper qualification of particles and defect collections, as well as packaging and QA inspectors.
• Oversee production operations and evaluate manufacturing issues that may impact product quality.
• Follow up on the implementation of corrective and preventive actions related to identified deviations.
• Approve Quality Circles from other departments.
• Approve maintenance requisitions and Preventive Maintenance activities.
• Support the monitoring and maintenance of Quality KPIs and other key metrics

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field.
• At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in Quality.
• Knowledge of the injectable pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), FDA requirements and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Assertive, flexible and detail-oriented.
• Fluency in English and good computer skills are preferred.
