Intermedia Intelligent Communications is seeking an Architect (Voice) to drive cloud-based voice and UC solutions in Portugal. You will bridge frontend and backend work, shaping APIs, integrations, and AI-enabled features for scalable, secure communications.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in production software, strong C#/.NET, and experience with SIP/RTP/WebRTC and modern web stacks. Join a fast-paced team in a growth-focused company.

Qualificações

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 4–7 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with C#/.NET and front-end/back-end development.
• Experience designing/consuming REST APIs and relational databases.
• Familiarity with modern web tech (JS/TS, React/Angular).
• Voice/UC development experience including SIP, RTP, WebRTC, call control.

About The Role:

We are looking for a talented Software Developer with 4 to 7 years of professional experience to join our Contact Center engineering organization, with a focus on Voice, UC Integration and AI. You will build cloud applications and services for a fast-growing unified communications company, solve complex technical problems, and help evolve customer-facing products. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can work across front-end and back-end technologies, learn complex systems quickly, and turn product requirements into secure, scalable, reliable software.

What you will be doing:

• Design and develop cloud software that integrates voice, unified communications, contact center, and AI capabilities.
• Build and maintain APIs and services for call control, media, presence, messaging, routing, conferencing, and UC interoperability.
• Integrate AI capabilities such as transcription, summarization, conversational intelligence, virtual agents, and AI-assisted workflows into voice and UC experiences.
• Develop reliable integrations with telephony, UC, contact center, and third-party communications platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex real-time communications issues across application, signaling, media, network, and AI service layers.
• Improve scalability, resiliency, security, observability, and performance of real-time communications services.

What you will bring to the role:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4-7 years of professional software development experience building production applications and services.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET and with front-end and back-end development.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, distributed services, and relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with modern web technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript and React or Angular.
• Good understanding of software design patterns, testing, code review, security, and maintainable software engineering practices.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong voice/telephony or unified communications development experience, including SIP, RTP, WebRTC, call control, and media concepts.
• Experience integrating UC, PBX, contact center, carrier, or communications APIs and platforms.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, or conversational intelligence capabilities.
• Understanding of real-time distributed systems, networking, latency, high availability, and production troubleshooting.

Bonus Skills:

• Azure and/or Amazon Web Services
• Redis, RabbitMQ, or similar caching and messaging technologies
• Containers and Kubernetes
• Observability, telemetry, and production troubleshooting
• Experience with contact center, unified communications, or cloud communications platforms
