About The Role

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer with a strong focus on data and full-stack engineering capabilities to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of software engineering and data, with the skills to build high-performance, scalable microservices in Java (Spring Boot) and contribute to modern web applications using React.

You will play a key role in designing and building cloud-first services that operate on large volumes of data, while also developing intuitive user-facing applications that surface and interact with that data. This includes working across both modern platforms and legacy systems as we continue to modernize our architecture.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and develop scalable microservices and APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Build services that support high-volume data ingestion, processing, and access
• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React, integrated with backend services
• Implement frontend components that visualize and interact with data in meaningful ways
• Ensure seamless integration between frontend applications and backend/data services
• Integrate backend services with both modern cloud data platforms and legacy systems
• Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to support application features and data pipelines
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, Product Managers, and Designers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and performance across systems
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and CI/CD processes
• Write unit, integration, and data tests to support reliable delivery
• Contribute to system modernization efforts, replacing legacy components with scalable cloud-native services
• Deploy and manage services in containerized environments using Kubernetes and Helm

Benefits

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a mix of backend and frontend development
• Strong programming skills in Java with Spring Boot for microservices development
• Experience building front-end applications using React (or similar modern JavaScript frameworks)
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database design, performance tuning, and data modeling
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Working knowledge of modern frontend development (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and tooling)
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data integration techniques
• Proficiency with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) and frontend testing approaches is a plus
• Hands‑on experience deploying applications in Kubernetes environments using Helm charts

Desirable

• Experience with Snowflake and dbt
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code
• Knowledge of messaging or event streaming tools (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools or agentic AI workflows to improve productivity, code quality, and problem-solving
