Job summary

The Champalimaud Foundation is seeking Anatomical Pathology Technicians to join the Pathology Department team in Lisbon. The role involves gross examination, histology, cytology, ancillary techniques and related laboratory tasks within the Anatomic Pathology Service.

Candidates should hold a degree in Anatomic Pathology or equivalent, plus a professional license and, for Position A, postgraduate Macroscopy training; for Position B, cytology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Anatomic Pathology, Cytology and Thanatology or equivalent.
• Updated professional license.
• Postgraduate training in Macroscopy in Anatomic Pathology.
• Experience in cytology techniques and cytology screening.

Responsibilities

• Work in gross examination, histology, cytology, ancillary techniques and other lab tasks.
• Collaborate with the technical team in pathology services.
• Maintain accurate records and quality control.

Duration

The position has an initial duration of 12 months.

Position

The selected candidates will be part of the technical team of the Anatomic Pathology Service and will work in gross examination, histology, cytology, ancillary techniques, and other laboratory tasks.

Candidate profile

• Degree in Anatomic Pathology, Cytology and Thanatology or equivalent;
• Updated professional license.
• Position A: Postgraduate training in Macroscopy in Anatomic Pathology.
• Position B: Experience in cytology techniques and cytology screening.

Specific requirements

• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team
• Ability to communicate in Portuguese and English.
