Metyis AG in Porto is seeking an AI Product Owner to join the Data and Analytics team. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in project or product management and will own AI product lifecycles from concept to deployment.

You will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements and ensuring governance and quality across AI initiatives. This hybrid role offers growth and exposure to international projects.

Qualificações

• 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, product management, or a business analyst role.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Direct exposure to AI or technology driven projects.
• Strong ability to bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for AI use cases in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to transform challenges into AI-powered solutions.
• Define and manage acceptance testing, non-regression protocols, and QA processes for AI production readiness.
• Produce clear marketing and communication deliverables to support adoption and change management.
• Coordinate and monitor AI project implementations with local and central stakeholders, ensuring timelines and budgets are respected.
• Embed data governance principles into AI product delivery, including data ownership and quality definitions.
• Oversee integration and management of AI systems in production across data, IT, and operations teams.
• Track performance of deployed AI solutions and feed insights into the product roadmap.

What you will do

• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for AI use cases and workflows, working in close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to transform existing business challenges into AI-powered solutions, applying creative problem-solving and domain knowledge.
• Define and manage acceptance testing, non-regression protocols, and quality assurance processes to ensure AI solutions perform as expected in production.
• Produce clear marketing and communication deliverables such as documentation, presentations, and user guides that support adoption and change management.
• Coordinate and monitor AI project implementations in close collaboration with relevant local and central stakeholders, ensuring timelines, budgets, and scope are respected.
• Embed data governance principles into AI product delivery, ensuring clear data ownership, appropriate data quality, definitions, and governance requirements are considered throughout the product lifecycle.
• Oversee the seamless integration and management of AI systems in production, coordinating between data teams, IT, and operational users.
• Work with business, data, IT, privacy, and other relevant stakeholders to identify and address data governance gaps that could impact the development, deployment, or responsible use of AI solutions.
• Track the performance of deployed AI solutions, identify issues or improvement opportunities, and feed insights back into the product roadmap.
• Participate in, and potentially lead, dedicated project governance forums, representing both the product and the client success dimension.

What you will bring

• 3to5years of experience in project management, product management, or a business analyst role, with direct exposure to AI or technology-driven projects.
• Strong ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex requirements in both directions.
• Solid understanding of AI concepts, tools, and workflows, sufficient to engage meaningfully with data scientists, engineers, and architects.
• Practical experience with data governance or data management principles, including data ownership, data quality, definitions, and governance processes within technology or data-driven projects.
• Experience with agile methodologies, product backlogs, and sprint-based delivery.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience prioritising features or use cases based on user value, technical feasibility, and ROI.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations in complex environments.
• Ability to translate data governance requirements into practical ways of working across business and technical teams, ensuring they are embedded into AI product delivery rather than treated as a separate activity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce professional documentation and presentations.
• A client-focused mindset with a genuine interest in ensuring end-users derive real value from AI products.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience in international, consulting, or scale-up environments is a plus.
