Metyis in Porto is seeking an experienced AI Principal to lead architectural decisions across cloud infrastructure, data engineering, and applied AI. You will own the technical backbone powering a large-scale AI transformation, with accountability for target architectures and data foundations that ensure scalability, reliability and security.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, IT architecture, or a closely related field with AI tooling exposure.
• Solid understanding of AI/ML components, including model serving and data pipelines.
• Experience setting architectural standards across multiple teams or projects.
• Proven ability to review and approve technical decisions by engineers or vendors.
• Experience with major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, or GCP), with preference for Azure and Databricks.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring tools.
• Strong data architecture knowledge including data warehousing and governance.
• Ability to translate technical constraints into clear business language; excellent attention to detail.
• Fluency in English; international/consulting experience a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the technical consistency of AI solutions and portability across environments; custodianship of architectural standards.
• Establish robust data and technology foundations with scalability, reliability, security, and trust in AI solutions.
• Advise on solution design and target architecture for AI applications and future-proof technical choices.
• Draft technical specifications, monitor development progress, and oversee acceptance testing.
• Oversee integration, management, and scaling of AI systems across data, IT, and business teams.
• Monitor AI infrastructure performance, manage costs, and schedule model updates with dependencies.
• Participate in project governance and technical forums; document architectural decisions clearly.
• Identify technical risks and propose mitigations to protect delivery timelines and integrity.
