Critical TechWorks seeks visionary AI Masterminds to redefine software engineering in an AI-native world. You will design AI pipelines, fine-tune models, and deploy AI solutions across BMW platforms while balancing innovation, risk, and trust.

With 5+ years in software engineering and strong ML expertise, you will own end-to-end AI initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to DevOps, MLOps, and governance. Occasional travel and English excellence are expected.

Qualificações

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience defining and executing AI or technology strategies.
• Strong knowledge of AI, ML, DL, and generative AI with a practical mindset.
• Experience with Large Language Models and agentic AI.
• Familiarity with model monitoring, MLOps, and Agile.
• Experience with AWS and cloud AI services is a plus.

At Critical TechWorks, the AI Masterminds are developers who play a pivotal role in reimagining how software is planned, built, and operated in an AI-native world. Free from established patterns, the Masterminds will develop through entirely new engineering paradigms. We are not looking for those who optimise the present. Acting as a bridge between business, technology, and people, the role translates ambition into execution while balancing innovation, risk, and trust. • AI System Development: Design, build, and optimise end‑to‑end AI pipelines, transforming complex requirements into scalable, production‑ready solutions.
• Model Exploration & Deployment: · Develop, fine-tune, and operationalise large language models, ensuring high performance and seamless integration into BMW's platforms.
• AIOps & Automation: Implement robust CI/CD workflows for AI, automate data pipelines, orchestrate agents and ensure reliable monitoring, reporting, governance, and lifecycle management of AI systems.
• Performance Optimisation: · Continuously evaluate, benchmark, and optimise AI models and services for efficiency, accuracy, andreal-time performance in large-scale environments.
• Collaborative Solution Engineering: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including software engineers, data experts, and product visionaries—to engineer AI-driven solutions aligned with strategic objectives.

Whatever you’re working on, here’s the lowdown on the technical skills you’ll be developing:

• At least 5 years with a strong background in software engineering, digital platforms, and large-scale technology delivery.
• Experience defining and executing AI or technology strategies in complex environments.
• Solid understanding of AI, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI, with a practical mindset
• Experience with Large Language Models and the applied usage patterns.
• Experience with Agentic AI and the applied usage patterns.
• Experience with model monitoring, observability, MLOps tooling, and Agile.
• Experience working with public cloud platforms, especially AWS, and related AI/ML technologies and services is a plus.
• Experience with model comparison, security, privacy and FinOps in the context of AI is a plus.
• Knowledge about model quality, output validation and guardrails is a plus.

• Travel abroad occasionally to support all phases of product development.
• Have excellent English oral and written skills.
