Critical TechWorks seeks a Java Fullstack Hero to join our development team in Portugal. You will work on BMW Group technologies, building, integrating, and deploying Java applications across databases and cloud-native architectures.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in Scrum, and contribute to continuous improvement with automated testing and code reviews. Strong English skills are required and German is a plus.

Qualificações

• At least 2 years of experience using Java.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Microservices, Cloud and Container architectures.
• Desirable knowledge in domain-driven design, event sourcing, reactive programming, automated testing, and security.
• Experience developing Java UI applications using design principles and patterns.

Responsabilidades

• Database integration: connect Java applications to PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Participate in Scrum events and agile development processes.
• Ensure code quality with unit testing and reviews.
• Collaborate with product owners and designers to solve complex software challenges.

Critical TechWorks operates at the cutting edge of BMW Group’s technologies. We develop, deliver, and operate the systems that allow BMW to build, sell, and distribute vehicles as well as the in-car systems that create unique sheer driving experiences. We help build the car platform as well as applications like the navigation system, driving assistance, personalization, and entertainment. • Database Integration: Integrate Java applications with databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB, ensuring smooth data flow and storage.
• Agile Methodology Participation: Actively participate in Scrum events, contributing to the agile development process.
• Code Quality Assurance: Implement best practices for clean, testable, and efficient code, including unit testing and code reviews.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work with other developers, product owners, and designers to brainstorm and implement effective solutions for complex software challenges.
• Continuous Integration and Deployment: Engage with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Git to automate the building, testing, and deployment of Java applications.

This is a Rockstar Developer role, our take on the classic Software Developer.

Whatever you’re working on, here’s the lowdown on the technical skills you’re likely to have:

• At least 2 years of experience using Java.
• Experienced with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Microservices Architecture, Cloud Architecture and Container Architecture.
• Desirable knowledge in domain-driven design, event sourcing, reactive programming, automated testing, and security.
• Experience in developing Java UI applications using design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Familiarity with different architecture concepts such as Cloud, Microservices, Containers, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience analyzing and improving app performance and resource utilization across the full stack.
