Job summary

Komodo Consulting seeks an AI Engineer (GenAI) to lead a healthcare GenAI initiative, refining user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and coordinating with the Enterprise Architecture team. You will own the GenAI scope and ensure alignment with architecture, data, and security considerations.

The role requires strong Python expertise, knowledge of vector stores, semantic search, and cloud-based, serverless architectures. Hybrid work with some in-office days in Lisbon region is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English (C1+) and able to work in healthcare domain.
• Experience with GenAI projects and enterprise EA alignment.
• Strong knowledge of Python and AI toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Refine GenAI user stories end-to-end with acceptance criteria and dependencies.
• Own GenAI scope and align with Enterprise Architecture on scope, complexity, estimates.
• Assess GenAI impact on EA: feasibility, risks, architecture, data, and security.
• Act as technical partner for GenAI decisions and cross-functional coordination.

• IT Team Augmentation - helping clients scale and strengthen their tech teams.

The Project

We are seeking an AI Engineer (GenAI) to work on a healthcare project.

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Refine GenAI user stories end-to-end, including acceptance criteria and dependencies, ensuring clarity and completeness before final validation;
• Own the GenAI scope and ensure alignment with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team on scope, complexity, and estimates;
• Assess and validate the impact of GenAI on EA, covering feasibility, risks, and architecture, data, and security implications;
• Act as technical partner for the team on GenAI-related decisions and cross-functional coordination.

You need to have the following skills/experience:

• Fluent and proficient usage of Agentic Development Tools as part of daily software development workflows (e.g. Claude Code), with strong command of Skills, MCP servers, Rules, and Commands;
• Thorough understanding of Agentic Systems design patterns and techniques;
• Proficiency in Python, vector stores, semantic search, prompt engineering, and LLM call parametrization;
• Hands-on experience with serverless architectures and AWS services, with the ability to own, maintain, and extend GenAI services integrated into production applications;
• Working knowledge of DBT and Snowflake;
• C1 level of English or above.

Location

Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra (Hybrid - 2 days per week at the office).
