KCS IT is seeking an AI Engineer to join our Lisbon hybrid team. The role targets candidates with 2+ years in software engineering or AI, strong Python, and hands-on with Generative AI, LangChain, and cloud platforms. English proficiency required and willingness to be based in Portugal.

You will work across domains, building AI-powered solutions, integrating AI models via REST/microservices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value.

Qualificações

• Bachelor/Master in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or similar.
• 2+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or similar roles.
• Strong programming experience with Python.
• Solid knowledge of AI/ML concepts and techniques.
• Experience developing and integrating solutions based on Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Hands-on experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Prompt Engineering, embeddings and semantic search.
• Experience with AI/LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel or similar.
• Experience working with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face or similar AI platforms and models.
• Experience integrating AI models into applications through REST APIs and/or microservices.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn is valued.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Good level of English.
• The candidate has to be in Portugal and open to a hybrid position.
