Job summary

Chain IQ is building a modern platform blending workflow automation, data-driven insights, and AI-supported decision making. We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to manage cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD automation, environment management, observability and runtime optimization in a live, high-complexity environment in Lisbon.

You will implement secure defaults, define SLOs, and collaborate with engineering, data and security teams to ensure platform readiness.

Qualifications

Background in cloud-native operations, preferably in Azure.
Experience building automated environments and pipelines at scale.
Solid understanding of observability, telemetry and reliability engineering.
Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and guide teams toward resilient patterns.
Automation mindset focused on repeatability and operational simplicity.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where infrastructure evolves quickly.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain cloud environments using infrastructure as code and reusable modules
Develop CI/CD pipelines with automated validation, safety controls and progressive rollout patterns
Implement observability across logs, metrics and traces, with actionable signal for teams
Define and maintain reliability standards including SLOs, error budgets and incident processes
Establish secure defaults for environments, services and deployments
Optimize runtime performance and cost through data-driven analysis
Remove manual operations by automating environment, deployment and maintenance workflows
Collaborate closely with engineering, data and security teams to ensure platform readiness
