Job summary

Speechify seeks a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next-generation AI products. We build high-quality datasets at scale, combining engineering, infrastructure, and research.

You’ll work on data pipelines, large-scale data processing, and collaboration with AI scientists to improve training data and support model development. 5+ years backend experience and Python/Bash skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, preferably data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover and integrate new audio data sources into training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing pipelines for quality, throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with AI scientists to improve training data and model development.
• Take ownership of engineering projects from discovery to delivery and continuous improvement.
