Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an AI Chatbot Tester to engage with chatbots, explore a wide range of topics, and provide real-world feedback. This is a fully remote, hourly contract role, open to anyone with strong communication skills and genuine interest in how AI works.

You will interact with AI systems, evaluate responses for usefulness, accuracy, tone, and safety, and report issues and biases. No technical background required; flexible hours of 10–40 per week.

What You'll Do

• Engage AI chatbots in conversations spanning a wide range of topics — from everyday questions to complex, creative scenarios
• Evaluate responses for helpfulness, accuracy, tone, and safety
• Identify problems like factual errors, awkward phrasing, bias, or inappropriate outputs
• Design creative and challenging prompts to stress-test AI behavior
• Submit structured, detailed feedback that directly informs AI improvements

Who You Are

• Naturally curious — you enjoy exploring ideas across different topics and don't mind thinking outside the box
• Able to assess quality objectively and articulate what makes a response good or poor
• A clear, confident written communicator
• Comfortable using chat-based tools and online platforms
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
• No technical background or prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience in writing, editing, research, or quality assurance
• Familiarity with conversational AI tools
• An eye for nuance — spotting subtle issues others might miss
