Aubay Portugal is seeking an AI Architecture Lead to shape the strategy and technical direction for AI across products and internal systems in Lisbon. You will design data flows, model selection, and integration patterns while guiding teams.

The role requires hands-on work with modern AI/ML stacks, AWS proficiency, and a strong emphasis on ethics, customer focus, and collaboration. Residency in Portugal and a flexible hybrid setup are expected.

Qualificações

• 5 years of architecture experience with system-level design ownership.
• Hands-on with modern AI/ML stacks: LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in AWS for designing and implementing AI solutions.
• Fluency in English (B2 level or above).
• Strong customer focus, teamwork, and daily commitment.
• Residency in Portugal (citizenship, visa, or residence card).
• Flexible hybrid setting in Lisbon (once per month).

What will you do?

• Design the AI architecture across products and internal systems, encompassing data flows, model selection, integration patterns, and observability.
• Build and ship AI-driven features and internal tools from inception to production.
• Define standards and best practices for how AI is built and utilized across engineering teams.
• Evaluate models, tools, vendors, and infrastructure, taking ownership of technical recommendations.
• Work hands-on in key moments to validate architecture decisions directly in code.
• Serve as the technical reference for AI across the team, actively contributing to raising the overall technical bar.
