Minor Hotels Europe & Americas seeks an Accounting Technician (M/F) in Lisbon to ensure the integrity of accounting records and to produce the company’s financial, economic, and tax statements across group entities.

You will organize, review, and prepare entries, support monthly closings, and prepare monthly management reports. Fluency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish is valued; SAP and Excel proficiency are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in finance within the hotel industry.
• Experience with SAP is an asset.
• Good knowledge of Excel and accounting/taxation.

Responsabilidades

• Organize, review, and prepare accounting entries to produce financial statements.
• Analyze ongoing investments across companies.
• Validate fixed asset records and monthly depreciation.
• Ensure compliance with monthly and annual tax obligations.
• Perform analysis, verification, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Support monthly and annual closing activities and generate monthly management reports.
• Prepare documentation for monthly consolidation and VAT/IRS returns.

What will be your mission?

As an Accounting Technician (M/F), you will be responsible, among other things, for ensuring the integrity of accounting records in order to produce the company's financial, economic, and tax statements.

What will you do?

• Organize, review, and prepare accounting entries to produce the financial, economic, and tax statements of the various companies
• Analyze ongoing investments across different companies
• Validate fixed asset records and monthly depreciation
• Ensure compliance with monthly and annual tax obligations
• Perform analysis, verification, and reconciliation of accounts
• Support monthly and annual closing activities in line with defined deadlines
• Prepare monthly management reports
• Prepare documentation for monthly consolidation
• Communicate accounting standards and procedures and ensure they are followed
• Be responsible for account control, monthly and annual closings, and determination of results, as well as consolidation reporting, preparation and submission of VAT returns, withholding taxes (IRS/IRC/Stamp Duty), and other tax declarations, among others

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting (preferred)
• Minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in similar roles within the finance area and the hotel industry (preferred)
• Experience with SAP will be considered an asset
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Solid knowledge of Accounting and Taxation
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, proactivity, sense of responsibility, and attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
• Professional attitude, with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills across different stakeholders
• Strong time management skills, ability to work under pressure, and flexibility in working hours
• Proficiency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish (written and spoken)
