Profile of the candidate: We are looking for a dynamic and driven Account Manager to join our growing team. You will be the primary liaison between our company and our customers, nurturing relationships, addressing customer needs, and driving revenue growth. You will understand the challenges faced by our Rentway customers and use our product portfolio to address them or convey custom developments needs to the product team. Reporting directly to our Global Commercial Director, the position is based in Lisbon (Oeiras).
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for Tier II/III customers (excluding technical support or related queries), providing personalized attention and addressing concerns or inquiries.
- Coordinate and schedule regular meetings with customers to nurture relationships, gather feedback and provide a 360� overview of the relationship, ensuring satisfaction.
- Prepare meeting agendas and materials for clients, and gather information on the client's business strategy to understand where our product portfolio fits.
- Collect information for future product development and implement initiatives in a scalable, customer-oriented manner.
- Liaise between product and customers regarding specific development requests and negotiate prices for these requests.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions using CRM software and provide timely updates to customers on status of requests or issues.
- Collaborate with functional teams to deliver on commitments and ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Proactively identify upselling opportunities, develop targeted strategies, and track upgrade metrics and success rates.
- Present upsell opportunities consultatively, negotiate terms and pricing as needed, and coordinate with relevant teams to implement upgrades.
What we expect from you
- At least 3 years of work experience in the Car Rental industry or in a SaaS company.
- Previous experience in a B2B Account Manager/Sales role is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Collaborative mindset with cross-country and cross-team project experience.
- Willingness to learn a business from the ground up and propose new ideas.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, focused on driving customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Portuguese and English; French and Spanish are a strong plus.
- Resourceful with ownership while managing multiple deals.
- Proficiency in CRM software; experience with Jira/Confluence is a plus.
- Previous experience in tech or startup environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
