A FCiências.ID, através do LASIGE Computer Science and Engineering Research Centre, oferece uma Bolsas de Investigação (BI) para Mestre. O estágio inicia com 3 meses, podendo renovar por mais 3 meses, a partir de outubro de 2026.

A bolsa mensal é de 1.090,98 €, com seguro de acidentes, permitindo empresa de seguridade social conforme o regime; o projeto foca-se em CI/CD, verificação de microserviços e medição de energia, sob orientação do Prof. Wellington Oliveira.

Qualificações

• Proveniência de experiência com arquiteturas de microserviços, CI/CD e análise estática.
• Enrolamento em mestrado relevante requerido.
• Valorizam-se conhecimentos em verificação de software e segurança.

Responsabilidades

• Conduzir revisão de literatura sobre GreenOps e verificação contratual de microserviços.
• Familiarizar-se com ferramentas CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) e analisadores estáticos.
• Desenvolver módulos para validação lógica, energia e segurança de código-fonte.
• Empacotar módulos como componente CI/CD e acompanhar métricas por commit.
• Coletar dados com instrumentação de energia (RAPL) e validar soluções com datasets abertos.
• Redigir o relatório preliminar e a dissertação de mestrado.

1 (one) Research Fellowship (BI) for a Master Student

• Scientific Area: Computer Science and Engineering, Computer and Information security
  
• Additional optional skills and qualifications: Previous experience with microservice architectures, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), and static code analysis. Knowledge of software verification (e.g., contract-based design), software security, or energy /performance measurement (e.g., RAPL, htop) will be valued.
  
• Contracting requirements: Presentation of the academic qualifications and/or diplomas, if applicable. Enrolment inMaster’s degree.
  
• Work plan: Development of a CI/CD-integrated solution for the logic validation and energy and security analysis of microservice systems: (1) Systematic literature review on green distributed software (GreenOps), DevSecOps, and contract-based microservice verification; (2) Familiarization with the required tools (CI/CD environments such as GitHub Actions/GitLab CI, static analysis and code complexity metrics extractors, and energy measurement tools such as RAPL), and selection of a dataset of open-source microservice systems; (3) Development of modules for the logic validation and energy and security analysis of source code; (4) Packaging of the modules as a GitHub Actions/GitLab CI component, integrating the solution into CI/CD pipelines and tracking metrics at each commit (e.g., per-service energy scores and logic violations); (5) Collection of ground-truth data using runtime contract checking and energy measurement tooling (e.g., RAPL); (6) Validation of the solution against the selected systems and statistical analysis of the trade-offs between security, code complexity, and energy consumption; (7) Writing of the preliminary report and the Master's dissertation.
  
• Place of work: The work will be developed at theLASIGE Computer Science and Engineering Research Centre , Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon , under the scientific supervision of Professor Wellington Oliveira.
  
• Fellowship duration: This position is initially opened for3 months due to start in October 2026. The fellowship contract may be potentially renewed for 3 months, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation of Research Fellowships from the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P.
  
• Monthly allowance: The fellowship amounts to1090,98€, according to table values of the fellowships awarded directly by the FCT, IP.The fellowship holder will have a personal accident insurance and can ensure the right to social security through adherence to the voluntary social insurance scheme, if not covered by any other social protection scheme, pursuant to C ódigo dos Regimes Contributivos do Sistema Previdencial de Segurança Social.
  The fellowship will be paid monthly by bank transfer.
  
• Evaluation and selection process: Candidates will be assessed byCV (100%), considering academic performance (80%) and previous participation in development projects (20%).
  Applicants whose application is scored with a final classification of less than60 points are not eligible for granting a fellowship.

• Publication/notification of results: All the candidates will be notified by e-mail, sent by the call holder, with the selection meeting minutes enclosed.

• Time limits for the appeal procedure: In case of negative decision, the candidates have 10 business days, after the date of announcement of the results of the candidates’ evaluation, to pronounce their disagreement in accordance with the Código do Procedimento Administrativo . Appeals against the final decision may be submitted to the Administration Board of FCiências.ID ( [e-mail] ) within 15 business days after the notification date.

Note 1: The documents that prove the entitlement of the academic qualifications and diplomas can be dismissed during the application period and replaced by a declaration on their honour from the applicant ( Minuta PT , Minute EN ) . Their delivery is mandatory for the fellowship contractualization.
