Headspace is currently seeking a part‑time, independently licensed contractor DC therapist to provide direct, virtual care as part of a multidisciplinary team on a 1099 contract basis.

We strongly encourage having 10+ hours available per week with full flexibility to adjust; additional hours are welcome depending on your schedule. Due to care demand and member scheduling fluctuations, it may take several weeks to achieve a consistent schedule.

Payment: The pay for the Contract Mental Health Therapist ranges from $80 to $85 per DC teletherapy session. Exact reimbursement rates will be determined during the interview process and are based on factors including location, licensure type, experience, specializations, languages spoken, and populations treated.

Session length is 60 minutes for an intake and 45 minutes for a follow‑up appointment, with concurrent note‑taking expected and included in the session rate. All Headspace therapists must be licensed and reside in the United States. All work must be provided within the U.S. – personal health information may not be accessed, disclosed, or used outside the U.S. (the U.S. is limited to the 50 states).

• Provide high‑quality, innovative tele‑therapy to Headspace patients via a HIPAA‑compliant video platform.
• Complete, sign and lock clinical case notes in the EMR within 48 hours of each session as part of the per‑session reimbursement rate.
• Maintain your personalized database to record proof of licensure, license updates, expiration dates, and personal information.
• Keep your availability calendar up to date.
• Collaborate with a care team that includes health coaches, other therapists, psychiatrists, and external care providers.

• 3+ years of experience providing clinical psychotherapy to individuals, couples, or families.
• An independent clinical license to practice in good standing (without supervision requirements) at the Master or Doctoral level.
• A BC‑TMH credential, if required by your state of license.
• Ability to offer at least 10 sessions per week, with flexibility to adjust schedules.
• Night and weekend flexibility a plus.
• Clinical competence in evidence‑based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, etc.) and measurement‑based care.
• Experience with risk management and higher acuity cases.
• Knowledge, ability, and commitment to providing culturally responsive care.
• Familiarity and confidence with care delivery technology—including video conferencing, EMR, and related tools.
• A secure location with a reliable high‑speed internet connection for Zoom‑based psychotherapy.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work within interdisciplinary teams.

• Licensure in multiple states.
• Licensed psychologist willing to apply for or already enrolled in PSYPACT.
• Ability to deliver care to a variety of populations.
• Familiarity with the Headspace app and content.
• Willingness to include evening availability to support member care flexibility.
