Job summary

CHILD CARE INNOVATIONS is seeking an Early Childhood Workforce Specialist in Lakewood, CO to advance workforce development and ensure high-quality early childhood education. You will collaborate with professionals, manage data, and support participants toward employment and learning goals.

You will lead on-site visits, assist with skill-building, and represent the organization at meetings and community events, promoting programming and equitable access to services.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education required.
  • Director’s Certificate or 3+ years working as a Licensed Family Child Care Provider required.
  • 2+ years working with early learning providers required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education or Workforce Development preferred.
  • Director’s Certificate or 3+ years working as a Licensed Family Child Care Provider and Early Childhood Trainer Credential preferred.
  • Experience in diverse communities and with underrepresented groups preferred.
  • 3+ years working with early learning providers preferred.

Job description

Join CHILD CARE INNOVATIONS as an Early Childhood Workforce Specialist in Lakewood, CO, where you will play a vital role in shaping the future of early childhood education. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the workforce, ensuring high-quality care and education for young children.

Responsibilities

Conduct on site visits with professionals to support on the job learning, education, and quality improvement related to workforce initiatives

  • Assist participants in obtaining the skills and knowledge necessary for employment.
  • Work with management to assure participants are provided the opportunity to obtain skills in the competency areas, and that the work site is following established standards and protocols
  • As requested, participate in the applicant review and interview process

Collect and manage program related data.

  • Gather data on hours of participation and outcomes of processes.
  • Provide initial determination as to whether completed coursework and professional development, and any previous work experience acquired by the participant could be accepted to help meet requirements.
  • Maintain all records of each participant including job learning and related instruction, job assignments, promotions, demotion.
  • Monitor participation to assure maintenance of eligibility.

Collaborate with staff to support participants in completion of set goals.

Attendance at meetings and community events related to workforce development.

  • Represent the organization and present/provide information about programming.
  • Take in information that could inform resource development efforts as well as additions or revisions to programming.
  • Facilitate meetings designed to generate interest in the program and to recruit participants

Performs other duties as assigned to support objectives of increasing access to high quality early childhood services. This includes but is not limited to, participation and promotion of professional development opportunities, and general support of organizational operations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Director’s Certificate or 3 or more years working as a Licensed Family Child Care Provider
  • 2 or more years’ working with early learning providers.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education or Workforce Development
  • Director’s Certificate or 3 or more years working as a Licensed Family Child Care Provider and Early Childhood Trainer Credential
  • Membership in or experience working in diverse communities and supporting the success of students and staff from racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds that are underrepresented.
  • 3 or more years’ working with early learning providers.
