Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on aluminum, stainless and inconel heat transfer components and sub-assemblies.
  • Self‑inspect welds and report nonconformances; support quality inspections.
  • Set up welding equipment and maintain tools and fixtures safely and efficiently.
  • Follow EHS rules, wear PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S).
  • Participate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives; attend training to maintain welding certifications.

Job description

The Hughes‑Treitler Business Unit designs and manufactures state‑of‑the‑art plate‑fin heat exchangers, cold plates, condensers, evaporators, and other heat‑transfer products. We provide custom design and engineering services for aircraft, engine, and industrial heat exchangers in the mobile/marine/avionics/space and missile markets.

Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced welder to TIG weld aluminum, stainless and inconel heat transfer components and sub‑assemblies for aerospace applications. The role involves performing high‑quality TIG welding operations on components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, welding procedures, quality requirements and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Welding Operations
  • Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on aluminum and aluminum alloy components and assemblies.
  • Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, fitting, and assembly of parts.
  • Weld components in accordance with engineering drawings, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and quality requirements.
  • Select and adjust appropriate welding parameters, filler materials, and shielding gases.
  • Produce welds that meet customer quality, dimensional and visual acceptance criteria.
Quality Control
  • Perform self‑inspection of completed welds to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Identify and report quality issues and nonconformances.
  • Support Quality and NDT personnel during weld inspections.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation.
  • Ensure finished products conform to engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Equipment Setup and Maintenance
  • Operate TIG welding equipment and associated tools safely and effectively.
  • Conduct routine inspections of welding equipment before use.
  • Maintain tools, fixtures, and workstations in proper working condition.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance requirements.
Safety and Workplace Organization
  • Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and fire prevention regulations.
  • Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Handle welding materials and industrial gases safely and in compliance with company procedures.
Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Support efforts to improve quality, productivity and workplace safety.
  • Attend training programs and maintain required welding certifications.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams on new product introductions and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Vocational or technical school diploma required.
  • Certification or training in welding, metal fabrication, manufacturing or a related field preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in TIG welding of aluminum.
  • Experience welding thin‑wall aluminum structures is highly desirable.
  • Aerospace, automotive or precision manufacturing experience preferred.
Certifications
  • Current welding certification in accordance with ISO 9606‑2 or equivalent standards.
  • AWS D17.1 certification preferred for aerospace manufacturing environments.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain welding qualifications and certifications.
Technical Knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication standards.
  • Understanding of aluminum alloy properties and welding characteristics.
  • Ability to follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with basic measuring and inspection tools.
Soft Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality.
  • High level of accountability and reliability.
  • Good organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Languages
  • Basic English skills preferred for understanding technical documentation and work instructions.
Compensation
  • Salary Range: 6,500 – 11,000 PLN gross/monthly.
  • Currency: PLN.
  • Salary Minimum: Market.
