Job summary

Aviva plc in Poland is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with a hybrid mix of development and testing responsibilities. You will set up test tooling, develop test plans, and perform manual tests while pursuing automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Around 2 years of commercial experience in a similar role.
• Hybrid skillset of software development and testing.
• Skilled with C# programming language.
• Experience with manual testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber for Java, Reqnroll for C#, or Behave for Python.
• Experience with building a test automation solution from scratch is a big plus.
• Understanding and direct experience with databases, web services, APIs, and cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Automation mindset, appetite for innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Keen on latest technology such as AI and machine learning.
• ISTQB Fundamentals and Test Automation Engineer certifications are ideal but not mandatory.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner and Azure Fundamentals certifications are ideal but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Setting necessary tools (e.g. Azure DevOps) to enable test automation and integration with downstream processes.
• Developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, test scripts.
• Establishing an efficient way to generate test data with fewer dependencies.
• Performing manual testing.
• Continuously looking for opportunities to automate tests in the pack of manual tests.
