Transport Planner Team Leader

Job summary

HEINEKEN Kraków (HEINEKEN Global Shared Services) is seeking two Team Leaders to guide transportation planning and execution across OpCos. You will lead a team of Planners, ensure SLAs are met, and collaborate with external customers and internal stakeholders to optimize logistics performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, 5+ years in Supply Chain, 2+ years in leadership, and fluency in English. Multilingualism is a plus. This is an on-site position in Kraków.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Management, Business, Logistics, or related field.
• At least 5 years of work experience in Supply Chain.
• At least 2 years of experience managing and leading a team.
• English language required; additional languages advantageous (Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian).
• Good understanding/experience with OTM.
• Understanding of transportation rules, regulations, and policies.
• Strong communication to all levels and relationship-building with clients and carriers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage transportation planning & execution for all OpCos within the cluster.
• Partner with external customers, OpCo transportation, customer service, and wider supply planning teams.
• Adhere to SLAs and resolve issues at the OpCo level.
• Lead and develop a team of Planners; review resources for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Continuous Improvement team on operational and system improvements.
• Evaluate cluster operational planning performance.
• Ensure shipments are planned and delivered successfully.
• Oversee daily execution of planning activities including load consolidation and route optimization.
• Leverage input from planners and CI/CPI teams to optimize activities.

The Team Leader role has dual responsibility as business leader and people leader. As business leader ensures operational delivery according to functional standards and effective collaboration with internal and external clients and stakeholders. As people leader supervises team and its operational deliverables, supports employee’s development, builds engagement and fosters collaboration across streams.

Your Responsibilities Would Include

• being responsible to oversee and manage transportation Planning & Execution functions for all OpCos within their specific cluster, acting decisively and engage effectively with key stakeholders
• partnering effectively with external customers and OpCo transportation organization, customer service representatives and wider supply planning organization
• being responsible for adhering to SLAs, resolving any issues/challenges at the OpCo side
• managing team of Planners by reviewing and improving resources on a continuous basis
• liaising with Continuous Improvement team to support implementation of operational and system improvements
• evaluating cluster operational planning performance
• reviewing and ensures shipments have been successfully planned and successfully delivered
• overseeing daily execution of transportation planning activities including load consolidation, mode shift, and optimization of transportation routes
• seeking to optimize transportation and execution activities based on transportation planners’ inputs, together with CI/CPI team.

You Are a Good Match If You Have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Logistics, or related field
• at least 5 years of work experience in Supply Chain
• at least 2 years of experience managing and leading a team
• language skills: English (required), second language is advantageous (preferred: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian)
• good understanding/experience with OTM
• understanding of transportation rules, regulations, standard processes and business policies
• skills to effectively communicate to all levels (including OpCos) demonstrating expertise, professionalism and confidence
• ability to develop and manage client and carrier relationships
• professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• team management experience
• proficiency with Microsoft Office
• experience working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally.
