Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Systems Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of engineers in Kraków, guiding technical development and resource planning. The role blends hands-on leadership with line management, ensuring delivery of complex power electronics projects under ASPICE/MBSE processes.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 8+ years in related roles, including 2+ years in leadership, and fluent English. Willingness to travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in systems, software, and/or electrical engineering roles.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Experience in power electronics (hardware and/or software design) is mandatory.
• Experience with traction inverters or electric motor controls.
• Strong knowledge of INCOSE/MBSE and systems engineering principles.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects with ISO 26262 functional safety requirements.
• Strong project management skills and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical systems engineers with clear objectives and regular feedback.
• Define, track and report team metrics; manage resource priorities.
• Serve as escalation point for competency or resource issues.
• Ensure resources, skills and knowledge meet project needs.
• Promote best practices, maintain technical guidance documentation and tools.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
