In this role, the Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the electronic design for high-volume manufacturing, ensuring high quality and suitability for harsh environments, specifically for Control Units and High Voltage Power Electronics products like Inverters. The engineer will develop electronic schematics, analyse circuits to meet customer requirements, and perform verification testing of designs.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve all electrical design requirements applicable to the project.
- Develop worst‑case analysis for each requirement.
- Develop complete schematics and finalize the Bill of Materials.
- Create and release documentation according to the Product Development Process.
- Actively lead the layout of Printed Circuit Boards by working closely with ECAD.
- Support Validation teams during Design Validation and Process Validation phases.
- Support Manufacturing Development and Test teams located in the manufacturing plants.
- Lead Electrical DFMEA activities.
- Follow in‑house Bill of Design and accurately report status.
- Lead project execution activities in a timely manner.
- Plan, prepare, and execute tests.
- Interact with customers.
- Actively participate and interact with other BorgWarner sites across different regions.
- Provide on‑the‑job training for other engineers.
What we are looking for
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Experience in electronics design for EMI/EMC compliance.
- Experience with Functional Safety ISO26262 and FMEDA.
- Experience with effective problem‑solving methodologies.
- Previous design experience in Power Electronics is a plus.
- Proficient in PC applications, including MS Office, CAD programs, and simulation tools.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
