Job summary

Lingaro is seeking an experienced LCA professional for a short-term freelance engagement in Poland. The role focuses on building and maintaining complex LCA models and transforming results into actionable business insights.

You will collaborate with Cloud, CRM and Data Analytics teams to deliver scalable, AI-assisted LCA solutions that support EPD generation and sustainability KPIs. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Environmental Science or related fields, 2–5 years of LCA experience, and

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain LCA models using SimaPro, GaBi, or openLCA.
• Ensure studies adhere to ISO 14040/14044 and support EPDs.
• Translate LCA findings into actionable business recommendations aligned with KPIs.
• Lead cross-functional LCA projects from design to delivery.
• Develop integrated automated LCA systems via cloud platforms and API integrations.
• Bridge stakeholder vision with technical execution across Cloud, CRM and Data Analytics.
• Develop AI-driven solutions to speed up LCA and EPD generation.
• Lead technical LCA tasks and research initiatives.
• Contribute to pre-sales activities with PoC and solution decks.

What you'll be doing

• Building and maintaining complex LCA models for various products and materials using industry-standard software like SimaPro, GaBi, or openLCA.
• Ensuring that all studies strictly adhere to international standards, specifically ISO 14040/14044, and support the creation of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)
• Transforming LCA findings into practical business recommendations in line with company’s business goals and sustainability KPIs
• Participating in cross-functional implementation LCA projects from design to delivery, translating business needs into technical specifications for developers and engineers
• Building and implementing an integrated, automated LCA systems that deliver actionable insights at scale by using cloud software platform and API integrations
• Bridging the gap between stakeholder vision and requirements and technical execution across Cloud, CRM, and Data Analytics ecosystems Developing AI-driven solutions to speed up LCA and EPD generation
• Leading technical and innovative LCA tasks and objectives, conducting research initiatives
• Participating in pre-sales activities, creating a Proof of Concept (PoC), solution presentation deck and contributing to the general LCA offering.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Science or related field – preferably Environmental Science/Technology.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in conducting LCAs
• Knowledge of the relevant standards applicable in the field of sustainability management and carbon accounting, such as ISO 14040 series, PEF, ISO 14067, GHG Protocol, PAS 2050, etc.
• Hands-on experience with cloud foundations (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), APIs, data analytics tools (e.g. Databricks, Power BI).
• Strong quantitative or technical background with an excellent aptitude for analytical thinking. Natural curiosity to investigate issues, conduct research, design solutions and translate results into business practices.
• Basic programming experience will be beneficial.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Strong presentation skills for explaining technical concepts to non-expert audiences.
