Job summary

GlobalLogic Inc. seeks a Data Center Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team—defining and building software solutions for data center clients. You will lead strategy, coordinate with stakeholders, and guide development and integration initiatives to deliver measurable outcomes.

The role requires deep domain knowledge of data center operations, infrastructure, and energy management, with a focus on security, performance, and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Deep domain expertise in data center operations and key performance metrics.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, compute/storage/networking, and physical security.
• Experience in defining and building software products for data centers with technical requirements.
• Excellent communication and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to executives.
• Ability to translate customer business drivers into software features delivering value.
• Familiarity with data center network operations, security best practices, and performance management.
• Understanding of energy consumption, efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Guides the development and implementation of the strategic roadmap for data center software solutions.
• Provide leadership and act as the go-to expert for data center software development and integration needs.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define and prioritize software development initiatives.
• Act as the primary contact for data center software strategy and provide expert insights.
• Contribute to risk management strategies and mitigate project challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for ongoing projects.

Requirements

We are seeking a Data Center Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly knowledgeable professional with a deep understanding of data center operations, infrastructure, and technology. This role is critical for defining and building software solutions that address the unique challenges and business needs of our data center clients.

Required Qualifications:

• Deep Domain Expertise: Extensive knowledge of data center operations, including day-to-day workflows, critical business drivers, and key performance metrics.
• Technical and Operational Acumen: Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and physical security aspects. Understanding of data center capacity planning aspects, such as energy consumption, cooling and physical space, etc.
• Software Solutioning: Proven experience in defining and building software products for the data center segment, including generating detailed technical requirements, knowledge of existing software solutions in the segment.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, from technical teams to C-suite executives (CTOs, CIOs).
• Business Insight: Ability to translate customer business drivers into tangible software product features and solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Network Operations: Familiarity with data center network operations, including common protocols, security best practices, and performance management.
• Energy Management (Plus): A strong understanding of data center energy consumption, efficiency, and sustainability initiatives is a significant advantage.
