Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is seeking a Test Automation Engineer (Java) in Kraków. You will design automation test strategies and build scalable test frameworks to ensure the quality of enterprise applications.

The role collaborates with developers, BAs, and QA teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. The position requires 2+ years of test automation experience, strong QA knowledge, and Java programming with REST API scripting.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience in Test Automation and related tools.
• Deep understanding of quality assurance and system integration.
• Knowledge of SDLC and best automation practices.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• SQL knowledge and database understanding.
• Java programming experience and REST API testing scripting.

• Execute SQL scripts for data validation and test data preparation.
• Analyze requirements and define effective automated test scenarios.

• Implement API integrations between testing, defect management, and source control tools.
• Perform risk assessments and communicate key testing risks to stakeholders.
• Monitor and report testing progress, quality metrics, and defect status.
• Track defects through resolution and support continuous quality improvement.

Test Automation Engineer (Java)

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise applications through the design, development, and maintenance of automated testing solutions. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to build scalable test frameworks and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

In Our Team, You Will Be Responsible For

• Design automation test strategies, plans, and test cases for integration and regression testing.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, tools, and environments.

What We’re Looking For

• Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of experience in Test Automation and related tools
• Deep understanding of quality assurance
• Understanding of system integration, regression, administration and implementation
• Strong experience with SDLC standards and best automation practices.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
• SQL knowledge and database understanding
• Java programming experience
• Scripting knowledge in Java and Rest APIs required
