Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is hiring a Senior Java Developer to join Transfer Agency Systems in Kraków. You will design, develop and test components for AML/KYC applications, ensuring CI/CD and collaboration across teams.

You’ll work in a hybrid model with 3 days in the office and 2 days for parents of young children, contributing to a dynamic SDLC and multi-team projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Java and related technologies/frameworks experience for multi-tier web apps (Spring MVC/Spring Boot, JMS, JPA, JAX-*)
• Strong SOLID principles applied in practice
• Experience with WebServices (SOAP, REST) and data modelling basics
• Strong OOP and design pattern fundamentals
• Ability to write clean, modular code with interchangeable layers
• Experience designing code for unit testing
• Experience with relational database technologies

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test components of the Transfer Agency Investor Onboarding system
• Support business analysts to align user stories and acceptance criteria
• Integrate in-house systems with vendor solutions
• Resolve issues in test and production environments
• Enhance technical specifications and documentation (data modelling, dataflow, screens, workflows)
• Participate in design, system and UAT testing
• Create scripts for deployment and checkout of the solution
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, testers and specialists across teams and locations to meet business needs

About The Team

A Senior Java Developer will join Transfer Agency Systems for the development of AML/KYC applications (both internal and client facing). S/he will work as part of a dynamic technical team responsible for delivering new services for a demanding business. The individual will be primarily responsible for writing and managing source code, automated tests, ensuring continuous integration, tracking issues and creating a continuous deployment system of applications to servers. The successful candidate will also participate in all other system development life cycle (SDLC) activities, from requirements definition through design, development and testing phases to the production rollout.

In Our Team, You Will Be Responsible For

• Design, development and testing of components of the Transfer Agency Investor Onboarding system
• Supporting business analysts in reaching a common understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria
• Integration of the systems developed in-house with vendor solutions
• Resolution of issues reported in test and on production systems
• Achieving clarity of vision by enhancing technical specifications and documentation which may include data modelling, dataflow diagramming, screen design, workflow analysis etc.
• Involvement in the design process as well as in system and UAT testing
• Involvement in creating the scripts for deployment and checkout of the solution
• Working with project managers, developers, testers and other specialists across multiple teams and locations to make sure that projects meet business needs

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ Java and related technologies/frameworks experience for creating multi-tiered service-oriented web applications: Spring MVC/springboot, JMS, JPA, JAX-*,
• Knowledge and applying SOLID principles in practice
• Experience with WebServices (SOAP, REST)
• Knowledge and applying SOLID principles in practice and understanding basic principles of data modeling
• Strong foundation in Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
• Ability to create clean, versatile, modular code with easily replaceable modules and layers
• Skills to design code for unit testing
• Understanding and practical skills in relational database technologies
