Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman in Kraków is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to ensure quality and reliability of enterprise applications by designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions. You will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to build scalable test frameworks and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s in CS, 2+ years in test automation, and strong knowledge of Java, SQL, and APIs.

• 2+ years of experience in Test Automation and related tools.
• Deep understanding of quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Design automation test strategies, plans, and test cases for integration and regression testing.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, tools, and environments.
• Execute SQL scripts for data validation and test data preparation.
• Analyze requirements and define effective automated test scenarios.
• Run automated tests, evaluate results, and recommend quality improvements.
• Implement API integrations between testing, defect management, and source control tools.
• Perform risk assessments and communicate key testing risks to stakeholders.
• Monitor and report testing progress, quality metrics, and defect status.
• Track defects through resolution and support continuous quality improvement.

Test Automation Engineer (Java)

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise applications through the design, development, and maintenance of automated testing solutions. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to build scalable test frameworks and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. In our team, you will be responsible for:

• Design automation test strategies, plans, and test cases for integration and regression testing.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, tools, and environments.
• Execute SQL scripts for data validation and test data preparation.
• Analyze requirements and define effective automated test scenarios.
• Run automated tests, evaluate results, and recommend quality improvements.

What we’re looking for:

• Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of experience in Test Automation and related tools
• Deep understanding of quality assurance
• Understanding of system integration, regression, administration and implementation
• Strong experience with SDLC standards and best automation practices.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
• SQL knowledge and database understanding
• Java programming experience
• Scripting knowledge in Java and Rest APIs required
