Job summary

Roche Holding AG is seeking a Technical Leader for the Secure Cloud Platform to own cloud architecture across SAM, ensuring secure provisioning and governance of AWS accounts globally. The role focuses on IaC, automation, and platform usability for 200+ product teams, while maintaining security and reliability.

The candidate will guide engineering standards, lead incident response, and mentor staff in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment integrated with Roche’s digital strategy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT across architecture, software development or operations of SaaS products.
• Very good understanding and hands-on experience in AWS.
• Experience with cloud security services and DevSecOps practices.
• Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform/Terragrunt and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own technical architecture and design decisions for SAM: landing zone, account vending, IAM governance.
• Translate guardrail requirements into implementable engineering work: Terraform modules and automation pipelines.
• Build reusable self-service modules and APIs for 200+ product teams.
• Drive automation-first engineering and CI/CD pipeline design.
• Set and enforce technical standards and documentation-as-code.
• Lead incident response and drive reliability improvements.
• Mentor engineers and foster growth in the team.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies and AWS services.
